About the Presenter & Co-facilitators

MSHA is pleased to host Mike Boutin on this important topic. Mike Boutin, EdD, ACC, is Assistant Dean for Faculty and Student Success in the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences. In his role as Assistant Dean, he coordinates and provides student support dealing with issues of stress, time management, study skills, group and teamwork, and development of soft skills. Mike is an ICF-certified ACC-level executive coach. He teaches coaching in the School of Healthcare Leadership and serves as a coach for nurse leaders through the Center for Professional Development. He also teaches Counseling Skills in the CSD Department. Mike is a certified Mental Health First Aid instructor, training faculty and students in the signs and symptoms of mental health challenges and how to respond.

Mike received his Doctor of Education degree in Organizational Leadership from Northeastern University.

Co-facilitators Jenn Mackey (MGHIHP) MA, CCC-SLP and Patti Nelson (Emerson College), M.S. CCC-SLP, along with alums from a variety of programs, will share their perspectives and tips. We will offer a safe space for current grad students to unpack their feelings of imposter syndrome and to gain support from these conversations and from those who have also had similar experiences.

Jenn Mackey (she/her/hers) is the Director of Clinical Education, Assistant Professor, Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at MGH Institute of Health Professions.

Patti Nelson is a Senior Scholar-in-Residence, (she, her, hers) and CSD Faculty Coordinator for Student Advising and Program Support, Communication Sciences & Disorders at Emerson College.
